• 14 Nov, 2006: 10 Stars, 5 Love Stories, 1 Movie: Love is in the air again with a new love story, Cinta, that is going to be a hit this month. Produced by GBSB's Alternate Studio is a film about 5 love stories intertwined with each other and is ultimately a celebration of the many facets of love. Under the direction of Kabir Bhatia, the 10 main casts include Nanu Baharudin, Que Haidar, Sharifah Amani, Pierre Andre, Rashidi Ishak, Rita Rudani, Fasha Sandha, Eizlan Yusof, Datuk Rahim Razali and Fatimah Abu Bakar. Don’t forget to catch Cinta in cinemas near you from 30th November 2006 onwards.
  • 27 Jan, 2006: Buli Balik Hits the Road: Afdlin Shauki is big. And, when we say big, we really mean BIG! Buli Balik, Afdlin's sequel to Buli, has hit the RM1 million boxoffice mark in just five days. The news have surely given a boost to Afdlin and GBSB's team who was on a road tour as part of the promotional plan for Buli Balik. The five days tour which commenced on [???] brought the team from Alor Setar to Penang, Prai and all the way to Seremban, Melaka and Johor before stopping at KLCC and Bukit Raja, Klang during the Chinese New Year week.

    To further enliven the road tour, Afdlin was joined by some of the cast from the film including AC Mizal, Ako Mustapha, Hani JD and Syanie. Fans who came flocking to the selected cinemas and malls had the chance to win some prizes by answering questions posted by the actors themselves. Many did not even mind joining in the queue just to get posters and postcards autographed by their favourite stars. Buli Balik will be in cinemas near you from 26 January 2006 onwards.
  • 18 Jan, 2006: Susuk and Cinta Launched: GBSB kick started its 2006 campaign with the launch of two feature films, Susuk and Cinta, on 18 January 2006 . Both films will be directed by directors who are well known in Malaysia 's ‘independent' filmmaking scene; Amir Muhammad and Naiem Galili for Susuk, while Kabir Bhatia will be helming the direction for Cinta. Susuk, which production cost is estimated to be circa the RM1 million mark, is a horror flick featuring well known actors among others, Diana Rafar, Ida Nerina, Adlin Aman Ramly and Sofea Jane.

    Cinta, produced by GBSB's Alternate Studio is a film about 5 love stories intertwined with each other and is ultimately a celebration of the many facets of love.. The casts include Nanu Baharudin, Que Haidar, Sharifah Amani and Fasha Sandha. At the launch in Sri Pentas, Media Prima Group Managing Director, Abdul Rahman Ahmad unveiled the teaser posters of Susuk and Cinta to a group of guests including the media and industry figures. The films are expected to be released in 2006.

  • 22 Dec, 2005: Grand Brilliance Sdn Bhd held a press preview for our next distribution movie, an Indonesian movie called "9 Naga".  About 100 guests including members of the press and our Chairman attended the preview held at GSC Midvalley.  The movie is tentatively scheduled to be released at selected cinemas on 9 Feb 2006.

  • 21 Sept, 2005: GBSB held the premier of Salon at GSC One Utama. Over 200 invited guests were present to view the premier as well as the launch of Alternate Studio , a unit division production of GB that was set up to produce "alternative" movies and production concepts.
